John Parker biographical info: Having lived in Manhattan & Vegas, John Parker currently calls both Pittsburgh, PA & North Palm Beach, Florida home.

John Parker is indeed a "veteran" entertainer, vocalist and celebrity of the entertainment business. 

Born in central Pennsylvania, John Parker was encouraged by his grandparents -his grandfather a concert violinist, his grandmother a trained vocalist/pianist.   From the time John was age three until he was twelve, John Parker studied classical piano.   As a high school student, John Parker was fortunate enough to have studied extensively under the nationally acclaimed Dr. David Berlin, (noted theory, composition, and electronic music expert) It was his teachings that, as John Parker puts it "really turned the light bulb on, as to truly beginning to understand and HEAR music" At this time, John Parker was performing with various basement bands on keyboards, and doing, in his words "a little" singing.

 

In college John Parker studied business & performed in his first of many pro bands - playing mostly on weekends in bars and nightclubs. During college, John Parker took to the road, playing keyboards and singing with his band "GIMIX", and later with a band of his own name. This band performed Hotels, Nightclubs, and Casinos throughout the world, and John Parker earned a reputation as one of the East Coast's most talented acts.

 

In the late 80's, John Parker appeared on the TV program "Star Search" as a solo vocalist, prompting numerous other appearances, It was at this time that John Parker was picked up by several Pittsburgh and New York Talent agencies to do photographic modeling, TV commercials, and much recording session work. Now John Parker can be seen as a spokesperson for local & national businesses, heard on the radio advertisements, as well as be seen on television in numerous roles.

 

John Parker in the new millenium is available for private events and for very limited public appearances. International Resorts, Corporations, Meeting and Party planners, and Convention programmers alike call upon John Parker to perform when quality entertainment is the needed.
